Joseph Pelliccio

Joseph Pelliccio 86 , affectionately known as “Poppa Joe” passed away peacefully on 1/28/26 at his home in Jensen Beach, Florida with his loving wife and children by his side after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Mount Vernon, NY to Louisa Merone and Anthony Pelliccio.

He was a longtime resident of Parsippany, New Jersey where he lived for more than 30 years. During that time he worked as a route delivery salesman for Entenmmanns in Little Falls, NJ.

Upon retirement Joseph and his wife relocated to Jensen Beach, Florida where he embraced life with fishing on The Lady Stuart, crabbing, cooking and countless Opici happy hours spent with family and friends.

His sarcastic sense of humor and love of good company created memories that will be treasured forever.

Joseph is survived by his Beloved wife of 62 years Carol (DeYorio); his son Anthony Pelliccio; daughters Andrea Capra and Alissa Pelliccio and Son in Law David Capra. He was the adored grandfather of Anthony, Ava and Joey and the loving companion of his loyal corgi Bennie.

Joseph was preceded by brothers Benjamin and Anthony and sisters Emily ( Gallicchio) and Patricia (DiDomenico)

He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests that donations be made to Treasure Coast Hospice of Martin County Florida who compassionate care provided Joseph with great comfort.

There will be a Celebration of Life, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm., Saturday, February 7, 2026 held at Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Rd., Parsippany, NJ 07834
