Stephen was born on September 13, 1942, to Erwyn and Ava Kahler in Darby, PA. He is survived by his wife and love of his life, Katherine Kahler, his very good-looking children Kristin Kahler and Stephen Richard Kahler, Jr., his sweet younger sister Ava Cynthia Mauro and four wonderful grandchildren.
Stephen was proud to serve his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a proud graduate of the University of Miami and a loyal Hurricanes fan. Stephen was a family man and told terrible Dad jokes. He was both a grumpy old guy and one of the most generous people you'd ever meet. He was loved tremendously by his family and friends and will be missed forever.
