

William was born in Philadelphia, PA and moved to Jensen Beach in 1976 coming from Westminster, Maryland.
Prior to retirement he was president of I.T.E. Industries in Mississauga, Canada.
He was Commodore of St. Lucie River Power Squadron and he was past Commodore of Georgetown Maryland Yacht Club, he was also Commodore of Anchor Line Yacht Club and a board member of Martin Memorial Hospital. He volunteered for the Boy Scouts and Little league Baseball in NJ. He was an avid Yachtsman. He was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include wife of 13 years Dorothy “June” Long of Jensen Beach, FL, three sons William G. Long, Jr. of Pompano Beach, FL and Jeffery R. Long of Jensen Beach, FL, Frank “Sonny” Lenox of Port St Lucie, FL, brother David Arber of ,Warminister, PA , 4 stepchildren Robert Hochadel of Port St. Lucie, FL, Tami Manley of Fort Myers, FL, Karen Lipa of Clearwater, FL, Carol Costanza of Palm Bay, FL and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
William was pre deceased by his first wife of 53 years Helen Long.
A Memorial Service will be on Saturday April 9th at 11 AM at Aycock Funeral Home Chapel, Jensen Beach, FL.
