May 1, 2019 at Johnson City Medical Center. She was born in Kingsport, Tennessee, a daughter
of the late Harry Lee and Anna Kate Johnson Southard. In addition to her parents, she was
preceded in death by her husband, Leon Douglas Huffine.
Anna was a devoted Homemaker who loved spending time with her family. She was a member
of Southwestern Baptist Church in Johnson City. Anna’s most enjoyable hobbies was gardening
and reading, but what touched her heart the most was her beloved cats.
She is survived by her son, Lee Huffine; daughter, Janet Huffine Edmondson and husband Jeff;
one granddaughter; LeeAnn Barnes and husband Sam; two grandsons; Shawn Huffine and Sam
Huffine and six great-grandchildren; Jesse and Savana Barnes, and Addison, Jaxson, Zaine and
London Huffine.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM Sunday, May 5, 2019 at
Southwestern Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, May 6,
2019 at Southwestern Baptist Church, 1112 Cherokee Road, Johnson City, TN with Pastor Greg
Salyer officiating. Committal Service and Inurnment will follow in the Garden of Word at Monte
Vista Memorial Park.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hillview Home Health and The Life Care
Center of Gray for all their love and care shown to Mrs. Huffine.
