Cora B. Mosier, age 92, of Johnson City, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at her residence. She was born in Enid, Mississippi, a daughter of the late Dillard Thomas Newman, Sr., and Lila M. Earp Newman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Ranny K. Mosier; two children, Ken Mosier and Darlene Stanfield; one sister, Eleanor Singley; and one brother, Dillard Thomas Newman, Jr.
Cora was a member of Boones Creek Baptist Church. She devoted her life to her church, family and friends serving her Lord in many ways. She was part of the prayer and card ministry and will be remembered as a strong woman of faith, who loved reading her Bible and was a prayer warrior. She was an avid sports fan who loved baseball, basketball, and bowling. Cora loved gardening and sharing flowers with so many. She along with her Sunday School class loved being the hands and feet of Jesus by providing meals at the Ronald McDonald House. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, caregiver, and people lover who made friends with so many in her walk of life.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane Anderson and husband Donnie, and Carolyn Buchanan and husband Tim; Daughter-in-law, Tina Mosier; six grandchildren, Lila White and husband Will, Lydia Buchanan, Stephanie Jones and husband Brian, Derek Stanfield and wife Amy, Jeremy Lynch and wife Amanda, and Zachary Lynch and wife Jennifer; and eleven great grandchildren.
A Private Committal Service and Interment will be held in Section F at Monte Vista Memorial Park with her grandson, Jeremy Lynch officiating.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Amedisys Hospice, her caregivers, and Meals on Wheels for all the love and care that was shown.
