Jason Duncan, age 48, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, surrounded by his family at his residence. He was born in Petaluma, California, and raised in San Bruno, California, a son of Jose I. Madrid, Sr. and Elida Duncan Madrid. He is preceded in death by his daughter Chelsea Whitaker.
Jason was a Bar Tender and Cook, having served in various Restaurants and Hotels in the service industry. He looked forward to Mexi Mondays, which consisted of bowling, being with his friends and enjoying Meximeister or a nice cold Mexi-Lite. Growing up Jason was a little league umpire. Jason had a heart of gold and was a compassionate friend to so many. He was dearly loved by all who knew him. He always had a smile on him no matter what life threw at him. He battled hard with an illness over this past year but always kept that smile. He will truly be missed. Though he grew up in California, he was a die-hard LSU Tigers Fan. He even lost a bet and, a man of his word, he had to get an “A” for Alabama tattooed on him.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his beautiful daughters Issabella Sams and Elizabeth Baioni and handsome son Isaac Meade; his beloved brothers Jose I. Madrid, Jr. (wife Kelli Madrid) and Paul Madrid; loving sisters Valerie Baltodano (husband Rey Baltodano), Missy Hilburn and Jovan Martinez (husband Edmundo Martinez).
Uncle Mexi was one of the best Uncles a kid can ask for. He had so much love for his babies. He protected them all equally and had love for them like no other. Randall Medefesser, Dianna Marquez, Emmanuel Donnelly, Andrew Otton, Alyssamarie Baltodano, Desmond Hicks, Jazmin Coffey, Chase MacPherson, Jorez Baltodano, Jordan Baltodano, Daunte Madrid, Mark Robles, Miguel Robles and Ashley Robles.
The family will receive friends Friday, November 20, 2020 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Monte Vista Funeral Home. A Rosary Prayer will follow at 7:00 PM.
