Donald E. Litterini, 82, of Johnstown, Ohio passed away on December 30, 2020 at 3:55 a.m. at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville, Ohio. Born at home on December 21, 1938 in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. A graduate from Moon Township High School in 1956. A member of the local St. Joseph’s Catholic Church where he was a Columbian Squire (international youth fraternity run by the Knights of Columbus). A 1961 graduate with a chemistry/math degree and founder of the Archon fraternity at Rio Grande College. After graduating college, was employed at Columbus Coated Fabrics as a chemist. Don was next employed at Tech International in Johnstown from 1962-1997 where he started as a chemist and retired as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and served on the board of directors. After retiring from Tech, he became owner and President of The Real Estate Book Columbus/Central Ohio for 10 years. Don also served in the Johnstown community as a village council member as well as its President. He was active at his local Catholic church, Church of the Ascension, where he sang in their choir and was a member of the parish council. He also volunteered with the Saint Vincent DePaul charity. In addition, he was a proud 4th degree knight in the local Knights of Columbus. Furthermore, he helped to start and was President of the J. A. Seniors group and attended their monthly meetings and activities. Survived by his daughter Teri (Chuck) Hiter, who reside in Sarasota, Florida, son Shawn (Liz) Litterini, grandson Giovanni, who reside in Johnstown, Ohio, and sister JoAnn (Jim) Vorst who reside in West Lafayette, Indiana. Proceeded in death by his wife of 51 years Charlene, father Arthur, mother Anna, and brother Randy. Due to our nation’s issues, there will not be a visitation nor funeral mass at this time. However, when conditions are deemed appropriate in the future, there will be a Celebration of Life event which will include a Memorial Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Johnstown’s local Knights of Columbus, 555 S. Main St., Johnstown, Ohio 43031.
