Hope Riffe

Hope Riffe, 88 of Johnstown, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at the Kobacker House. Funeral services will be 10 AM on Friday, September 14, 2012, at Crouse-Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home, 225 N. Main Street, Johnstown, OH with Pastor Dan Scarberry officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Riffe was born March 8, 1924 in Spencer, WV to the late John H. and Iris M. (Bays) Niday. She attended the Johnstown Independent Baptist Church, was a former Board member of the Rouzer Oil Co., Spencer, WV, which was founded by her father, past member of the Tabitha Circle at the Johnstown Presbyterian Church, and of the Mail Baggers Club.

Survived by her husband of 71 years, Earl Riffe of Johnstown, daughter, Carolyn (John) Ach of Beavercreek, Kevin (Shannon) Riffe of Johnstown, five grandchildren, Tracy (Eric) Brooks of Ft. Wayne, IN, Brian (Michelle) Ach of Queens, NY, Haley (Harrison) Hall of New Albany, Ryley and Devyn Dyer, three great-grandchildren, Kyle, Morgan, and Rachel Brooks, several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by one son, David Riffe, two brothers, John Niday, Jr; Ross Niday, one granddaughter, Whitney Riffe.

Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM on Thursday, September 13, 2012, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Hope to the Johnstown Independent Baptist Church, 7397 Johnstown-Alexandria Road, Johnstown, OH.
