Jeanie Berniece Wyckoff Montgomery passed away December 21, 2020 at the age of 95. She was born December 3, 1925 to Edward and Hazel Bell Wyckoff in Alexandria, Ohio. She was big sister to brother Billy (deceased) and Sister to Donna Mae (Butt) and little sister to step-brother Emery Wyckoff (deceased).
Jeanie and family moved to Johnstown at the start of her freshmen year of high school. Here she met the love of her life, William Curtis Montgomery (deceased). They married November 3, 1946 at the Johnstown United Methodist Church, where she remains a member today. They had two children Stephen Curtis (Ann Milosevich) born May 1, 1949 and Cynthia Jane (William Rogers) born March 12, 1953.
Jeanie spent her early married years working at the Johnstown Federal Savings and Loan, singing in the church choir, helping with PTA and her child conservation league. But most importantly she became a second mom to many of her kids friends and kept them full of pizza, burgers and sour cream cookies.
In later years Jeanie devoted her life to her beloved grandchildren Amanda Leigh (Greg Maddox), Melissa Ann (Jon McCurdy), Rebecca Jane (Matt Knollman), and her oh so loved swell guy Benjamin Montgomery (deceased).
Golden Grams as she was called was always about family. Her blessed great-grandkids William Patrick, Benjamin Joseph, Rose Marie, Hazel Jane, Maisie Marie, and Molly Elizabeth got to know and love their GG.
She loved to keep in touch with nephews Tommy, Mark nieces Pam, Kim, Julie, Linda and their families via phone and letters. You all made her feel so special.
Jeanie touched so many lives in her 95 years. She has earned her wings and am sure she is kicking up her heels and celebrating Christmas with her Bill, Hazel, Benny, and Wilda. Heaven will be serving some tasty egg casserole and cinnamon rolls this year. We love and miss you!
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 11:00 am at Green Hill Cemetery Johnstown, OH. There will be no social gatherings following the services. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Driver’s Web, www.driversforesurvivors.org
