Mary Lou Booher, 92, of Croton, Ohio, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024 at the Embassy of Newark Care Center surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born August 14, 1931 in Lebanon, Virginia to the late Elizabeth and Benjamin Gilbert. Mary was an avid quilter, making blankets for all of her family and friends to enjoy. She also enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, golf, and playing the piano which she taught herself to play by ear. Mary was a long time and faithful member of the Croton Church of Christ. She is survived by her loving children, Garry (Charlotte Hudson) Booher, Nancy (Ron) Goldsberry, and Teresa (Douglas) Willison-Goodman; grandchildren, Curt Booher, Krista Raymond, Katrina Lear, Kassonda Wetzel, Gregory Booher, and Robert Booher; step-grandchildren, Andrew Goldsberry and Joni Calderone; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Eva Mettee; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gordon Booher; and seven siblings. Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a service to begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Crouse-Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 225 N. Main St., Johnstown, OH 43031.
