Ruth “Polly” Pauline Garee, 81, of Johnstown, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at her residence. She was born on February 16, 1942 in New Martinsville, WV, a daughter to the late Howard and Dorothy (Ludolph) Schwing. Polly graduated from North High School in 1959 and loved OSU football, her dogs and family. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert “Bob”; children, Kimberly Ross, Dan (Becky) Stainbrook, Brian (Cindy) and Mike (Amy); grandchildren, Lee (Brittany) Stainbrook, Andrew Ross, Katie (Benn) Pierce, Ashley Hill, Alivia, Emily, Lillie, Gabby, Isaac, Victoria and Nicholas; great-grandchildren, Isis Stainbrook, Christian and Addalyn Hill; sister-in-laws, Jan Pierson, Kathy (Buck) Coldiron and Laura (Ron) Baughman and many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, Polly is also preceded in death by her brother-in-laws, Ken Pierson and David Stygler. Calling hours will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at CROUSE-KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, 225 N. Main St., Johnstown, OH 43031. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Matthew Van Winkle officiating. Interment will follow at Sunbury Memorial Park.
