William W. Connick Jr., 75 of Johnstown, Ohio, passed away Thursday October 17, 2019. He was born on October 12, 1944 in Manhattan, New York. William is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Fredonia Sue Connick; children, William W. (Jennifer) Connick III, Tina Connick, and Fan Lau; grandchildren, Jax, Kelton, Amelia, and Rowen; sisters, Roseann Vojacek and Sr. Patricia Connick, O.P.; dear friends who have been on this long journey with him Connie and Ron Williams; fishing buddies, Wally Jordan and Bob White, and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones. William is a proud U.S. Navy Veteran, he served in Vietnam, and was proud of his duty during the Gulf of Tonkin Bay incident (August 2-5, 1964) where the aircraft carrier the U.S.S. Constellation was fired upon, his honor and bravery earned him the Ribbon of Commendation. In his free time William loved fishing and handy work (he was quite the MacGyver). He especially loved all of his family. He is preceded in death by his parents William Sr. and Mildred Connick. William was known for many sayings and words of wisdom including, “It will be what it will be” and “The difficult we do immediately, the impossible just takes a little longer.” Calling hours for William will be held from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday October 22, 2019 at CROUSE-KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME 225 N. Main St. Johnstown, OH 43031. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home Wednesday October 23, 2019 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow immediately at Maplewood Cemetery in New Albany, OH.
