

Betty grew up in Mt. Pleasant alongside her three sisters and two brothers.
She attended school in Mt. Pleasant and worked a variety of jobs throughout her life, including cleaning, working in a diner, and - her favorite -at the JCPenney Outlet. She was also a devoted homemaker.
Betty was baptized on July 31, 1949, and became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she carried a strong and enduring testimony throughout her life.
On January 27,1960, she married William Felix Odom Sr. in Tennessee. In1967, they moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where they raised their three children: Denise Herring (Dennis); Pamela Farrell (Scott), and William Odom Jr. (Mike).
Betty is survived by her grandchildren - Megan Herring (Max), Mallory Herring, Josh Farrell (Nicole), Claudia Farrell, and Zachary Farrell – and her great-grandchildren: Eli Farrell, Kai Farrell, Olivia Holst, Owen Holst, and Merritt Holst. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her dearly.
After the passing of William Felix Odom Sr., Betty later married Alan “Butch” Crane on November 29, 2005. They shared their lives together until his passing in November 2013.
Visitation will be held at Tara Garden Chapel, 681 North Ave, Jonesboro, GA 30236, US, on April 18, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at the same location from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
Interment will take place at Sherwood Memorial Park and Mausoleum, 6841 Tara Blvd, Jonesboro, GA 30236.
