Donald Neal Shiver, age 66, of Jonesboro died Thursday, September 6, 2012. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 10, 2012 at Tara Garden Chapel at 1:00pm A native of Twiggs County, Georgia, Mr. Shiver retired as a heavy machine operator. He is survived by: wife, Rita Shiver of Jonesboro, sons, Neal (Leslie) Shiver of Sharpsburg and Blake (Jennifer) Shiver of Jonesboro, grandsons, Joshua Shiver of Sharpsburg and Jakob Shiver of Sharpsburg, sister, Judy Anderson of Centerville, and brother, John Shiver of Warner Robins. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Warren Shiver and mother, Anna Belle Pettis Shiver. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a friend of the community. He loved and was loved by many.
