On Friday, September 8, 2023, Edgar Hubert Littleton, Jr., of College Park, Georgia, departed this life to enter eternal rest. Edgar, age 86, was born April 4, 1937, in Wichita, Kansas, to the late Edgar and Isabelle Littleton. He was the eldest child of two children born to this union. He loved his baby sister, Lois Jean Medlock, who preceded him in death in January 2003.
Edgar accepted Christ at a young age and became a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Wichita, Kansas, where his father and mother served as Deacon and Deaconess.
Edgar attended schools in Wichita and graduated from East High School. After graduation, he entered the work force at Cudahy Packing Company in Wichita, Kansas. In the mid-1970s, Edgar relocated to Atlanta, Georgia and continued to work at Cudahy. He would later become employed with Kingsman Coachline where he drove charter busses transporting passengers across the United States until his retirement from Kingsman.
On May 21, 1977, Edgar was joined in marriage to Lillie Harris. Edgar and Lillie were married, devoted to one another, and shared a special bond for 46 years.
Throughout life, Edgar enjoyed shooting pool, playing dominos, traveling to Wichita visiting friends and family and traveling throughout California attending family reunions. Edgar loved watching boxing, especially Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, and George Foreman. His love for music was impeccable, as was his taste in cars, clothes, and shoes. He frequently wore cowboy boots and hats, even when he wasn’t attending the rodeo. Edgar enjoyed reading “his” newspaper daily until his passing.
Edgar is survived by his wife Lillie Harris Littleton and seven children. Six children from a previous marriage (Marion) as follows: Angela Smith (John), Elaine, Curtis, Clifford, Timothy all of Atlanta, GA, Edgar III of San Fransico, CA, and a daughter Pamela Small (Charles) (Mother Helen) of Valley Center, KS, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Edgar was well loved and will be truly missed.
