Eugenia Ann (Turner) Legates

She was the fourth and only daughter out of five children born to the late Tom Ellis and Mamie Lois (Holton) Turner on May 16, 1946 in Walterboro, South Carolina. She attended Walterboro Elementary, Jr. High and High School. She graduated from Summerville High School in 1964. Her family moved to Atlanta, GA in the summer of 1964. Ann attended Orangeburg Regional Hospital School of Nursing and graduated in August of 1967. She worked at several hospitals throughout her nursing career.

Ann was united in marriage to Walter James Legates on February 14, 1971 in Charleston, South Carolina. She was baptized at Weaver Rd Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA in 1972.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She leaves to cherish her memory her children; Lynn, Jana and Jason, grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Ann will be missed by all who know and love her.

A memorial service for Ann will be held Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Tara Garden Chapel, 681 North Ave, Jonesboro, Georgia 30236.
