Iris Hardy Rook

IRIS HARDY ROOK of Senoia GA passed away on March 12, 2011 at the age of 98. Mrs. Rook attended Wingate College, and was a member of Christ Our Hope Lutheran Church in Riverdale GA. She was an active member of the XYZ Club and the Red Hats. Mrs. Rook was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Barney Rook whom she married on November 12, 1935; her parents James Wesley Hardy and Martha Alice Bray Hardy, and one son James Rook. Those left to cherish her memory are; one daughter, Carolyn Herche; four grandchildren, Connie Herche, Bonnie Herche, Allison Humble and Christopher Rook; three great-grandchildren, Cathi Champion, Boomer Champion and John Champion; and daughter-in-law, Judith Rook. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 15th from 3 to 4 p.m. with a graveside service to follow at 4:30 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Halenza officiating.
