

Mary Annette Hudgens of Hampton, Georgia passed away on March 8, 2026 at the age of 89. She was born January 14, 1937 in Griffin, Georgia. After graduating from Griffin High School in 1955, she went on to work in an optometry office, florist, and in a pharmacy as their bookkeeper. Annette was a friend, adopted mother/grandmother, mentor. She loved the Lord, served in children’s ministry, sang in a Gospel quartet and strived to make heaven crowded. There are so many in the Lake Cindy community who were blessed by Annette and Bill’s love and service. Following Bill’s death, Annette began an Afghan ministry. She lovingly crocheted and gifted over 100 blankets.
Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Milbry Ogletree, her spouse of 54 years, Bill Hudgens, her brothers, Charles and Frank Ogletree, and her daughter, Brenda Eaton.
She is survived by her son, Ted (Linda) Hudgens, 6 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and many others who loved her.
Visitation will be held at Tara Garden Chapel on March 13, 2026 from 10:00-10:30. The funeral will take place immediately following from 10:30-11:30. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.
