

Shameria Gelisa Fletcher was born January 24, 1988, to Therese Ann Fletcher and Herbert Windell Fletcher Jr.Affectionately known as “Mimi” to everyone who loved her,she was raised in Fayetteville, GA, where she graduated with honors from Fayette County High School. She would only continue to excel during her studies at Georgia State University. Shameria was a beloved member of the Eta Mu Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. She joined in 2008 and quickly became President of her chapter.
Affectionately called the Pearlfect Candidate, Shameria took care of her Family; always reliable, always a lending hand, always so loved and admired. Her natural ability to enjoy life to its fullest and embody not only who she was as a person but how bright her lightshined. Mimi walked in her purpose and made a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.
Left to cherish her precious memories are her parents,Therese and Herbert Fletcher; siblings, Shari, Shemar and Sapphire Fletcher, Derek McNeal. Shameria “Mimi” Fletcher leaves beloved Aunts and Uncles: Glenda Flowers, Yolanda Levy, James McNeill, Lenanae Baird, Errol Fletcher, Dahlia“Blossom” Fletcher, Clive Fletcher, Emenita “Emmie” Fletcher,Walter “Larry” Fletcher, Glenroy Fletcher, Lorraine “Gem”Fletcher and a host of Nieces & Nephews, Cousins, Sisters and Friends.
Reunited in Heaven with her Grandmother Hazel Hulse, Uncle Charles Levy, Godmother Monica Hulse and Grandfather Herbert Windell Fletcher Sr.
All of whom will remember her for her strength, her dignity, her smile, being a pillar in her community, an amazing friend, and for being the most hilarious person any of us have ever met. She will be missed immensely.
A visitation - mask are required for Shameria will be held Friday, March 11, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Tara Garden Chapel, 681 North Ave, Jonesboro, Georgia 30236. A funeral service - mask are required will occur Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at St. Luke Episcopal Church, 435 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, GA 30308.
