I was so sorry to hear about Shantel.  I feel like I lost one of my own kids.  I have know your wonderful family for a long time, Know that God has a new angel looking down on you,  you will now feel her hand on your shoulder and in thoughts in your heart.  she was a very special little girl and will be greatly missed.

A rose once grew where all could see, sheltered beside a garden wall, and as the days passed swiftly by, it spread its branches, straight and tall.  One day, a beam of light shone through a crevice that had opened wide, the rose bent gently toward its warmth then passed beyond to the other side.  Now, you who deeply feel its loss be comforted the rose blooms there-its beauty even greater now, nurtured by God's own loving care.  All my Love, Aunt Melody.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Shantel for the first years of her life. And it was nothing but a pleasure. All the fights she would put up with Mia getting ready for school, all the smiles she gave after getting her hair shampooed, and all the great learning experiences.. Something I will truly never forget! I send my prayers, condolences, and love to Mia & Shuntel. Shantel is now in a better place, as a parent, we may never understand that completely, but she truly is, she's been sent to watchover her shining stars! Always & forever in my heart!

No bond is as great as that between a parent and child.  Our deepest condolences are with you as you grieve.

Mia, please accept my sincerest condolences upon learning of Shantel's passing.  I was only privileged to be around your family for a short while, but knew Shantel had a sweet, but fighting spirit.  You also seemed to be an awesome, strong, and courageous mother.  Remember these words in the days, weeks, and months ahead as you grieve...knowing that God always knows best:  1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
But we would not have you ignorant, brethren, concerning them that fall asleep; that ye sorrow not, even as the rest, who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also that are fallen asleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we that are alive, that are left unto the coming of the Lord, shall in no wise precede them that are fallen asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven, with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we that are alive, that are left, shall together with them be caught up in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

To Mia and the Kids, I know this is a really tuff time for all of you.
I prayed and ask god to help you all through this time of sorrow. Just call on Jesus and be strong for auntie Mia. God will get yall through.

To shanny, God allow you to be here with us for a short peroid of time and know he has takin you home and gave you a beatiful set of wings. WE MISS AND LOVE YOU DEARLY......

Shuntell and Mia.  No words could ever express how sorry I am of the loss of your daughter.  We know that God doesn't make any mistakes and he wanted Shantel more than the both of you.  She will be watching over you now and no matter how much you think you can't go on it will come in the days to follow.  If either of you need something just ask.  I will continue to keep you in my prayers.

Baby sis, I cannot began to tell you what a wounderfull mother you are and have been. Alot of women could not have done what you have, you have inspired all of us. Shantel is now in a better place where there is no more pain and struggling. As night falls and we look to the heavens above we see that BRIGHT STAR being Shantel looking down on us with the biggest smile saying mom and family I feel great. We shall one day meet again, So Mia you keep God first and he will see you through all your pains and struggles. May God Bless and keep you. I am so proud to have you as my sis. I will always be here for you, I LOVE YOU BABY SIS!

Hey lil cousin! You will truly be missed. Your an angel watching over your family now. You and jailyn will b best friends. Love ya! And mia this I can tell is hard but I know you can get thru this. She will always b right there with you! I love you!

To Mia my baby sister, where shall I begin. You have done such an excellent job in caring for Shanny far better than any nusre or doctor ever could. Your love, care, knowledge and attentiveness to her every need was incrediable. God blessed you with that capability, he knew you could handle it and do it well. A wonderful mother you have been to all 6 of them Shamia, Shantel, Lamari, Matthew, Malachi & Myrical. I look at you and admire you from afar. I have seen such growth and change in you, you are my motivation. Your patience, strength and courage to press on is encouragement for us all. I thank God for blessing me with a sister as talented and caring as you. Awesome job sissy! Continue to trust and rely on the Lord for he will see you thru. Love always big sis.

To Shantel my beloved neice...You were an amazing little girl, with the strength of a solider and the grace of an angel you taught each of us so much and have truely been a blessing to us all, we thank God for your purpose which was well served. You are in a much better place now,  present with our Lord...run, jump and play for I know I will see you again soon some day. You will always be on my mind and forever in my heart.
