I have fond memories of Les, as a Sunday School teacher at Lighthouse Baptist and as a coworker at Pratt & Whitney.  My sadness at his passing is only surpassed by my happiness that he is home at last.

I was so surprised and pleased to see him (and Nancy) at my fathers' memorial.  It would have been a nice touch to let him know that in some way he had an influence on me - I have been ordained as a deacon at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Jacksonville, NC.

May God's blessings be with the family.  Take heart - we will see him again.

Nancy & family, I cherish our memories of "Les" as a disciple of Faith growing up at Northwood Baptist Church, before the 1961 start up of lighthouse Baptist. When I left the area for the Army and College, as so many of his lighthouse kids, he was the person we sought out upon return from the military, college or from living away. He was the wise man we all sought out to share happenings and seek wisdom. His teachings, patience, laughter, voice and smile will forever be remembered. Warm regards

Nancy and Family....I know Les is in a better place...singing again with the saints.   Many prescious memories of Les singing.  I will miss him greatly as will the family.  Les was a Christ filled spirit and Mom and Dad loved the times thay had with him.  I'm glad they will be together at the Lords table.  God bless all of yoiu.

I was so sorry to hear about Les.  I have been blessed to have had the entire Harrell family in my life.  My memories are full of laughter, fun and some scolding as Pam and I grew up.  Nancy, you had the patience with us which I know was challenging at times.  Les had quite a sense of humor, which he needed quite often, and a very strong faith that kept us moving in the direction of our Lord.  Thank you for letting me share it with you.
