Alfred Edgar Fisher, known affectionately as Al, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on August 29, 2024, in Jupiter, Florida, at the amazing age of 91. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and a long-time resident of Florida, Al's life was marked by his hard-working, dedicated nature, and his ability to fully embrace the joys of life.
After graduating from St. Xavier High School, he attended Ohio State University and served in the Army. Al never lost his hometown pride. He remained an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and the Ohio State Buckeyes, who often brought him the thrill of victory, and, occasionally, the agony of defeat. While not watching sports, his weekends were often spent with family and friends, golfing, or enjoying time on the water, boating and fishing, activities that brought out both his competitive and adventurous sides.
Al was an accomplished and enthusiastic accountant. He embodied the true spirit of a man who could crunch numbers by day and hit a hole-in-one by weekend.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Diana; his children, Erin and her husband Chris, Chris, Dave and his wife Kelly, Bill, Beth and her husband Sytze, and Aileen; his stepson, Brad and his wife Cheryl; and his first wife, Mona. Al was a cherished brother to Mary Dolores and her husband David, Marcy and her husband Steve, Sally and her husband Steve, and Ed and his wife Jan. His life was further blessed with numerous grandchildren — Christopher, Billy, Sammy and her husband Stefan, Jackie, Pat, Lukas, Tommy, Spencer, Ty, Josse, Riley and her husband Victor, Ryan, and Reagan — and great-grandsons, Luca and Nash. Al also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews, and long-time dear friends, Lynda and Fred.
Al was preceded in death by his father, Alfred, his mother, Helen, his sisters Helen and her husband Hugh, Eileen and her husband Leo, and Dottie and her husband Andy.
Al will be forever loved and missed by his family and friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A Celebration of Life will be held in the fall in Tequesta, Florida.
