He is survived by his beautiful wife, Megan, his cherished children, Clayton and Ainsley, and his loving parents, Sagoon and Susmita. He is further survived by an incredible network of aunts, uncles, in-laws, cousins, and nieces and nephews whom he adored. Furthermore, Amish will be remembered and celebrated by an extensive group of friends who were his chosen family.
Amish was born in Cincinnati, OH, the beloved son of Sagoon Patel and Susmita Patel. He attended St Xavier high school class of 1995 and holds both a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from St. Louis University.
Amish was married to his college sweetheart, Megan (McCloud) Patel, for 19 years. Together, Megan and Amish shared their two beloved children Clayton (15) and Ainsley (12). Megan and Amish were truly best friends and did everything together. They shared a beautiful life filled with love and adventure for over 25 years.
Amish was as devoted a father as there ever was. He loved silly humor and movies and sharing that with his kids. Clayton loved to dominate him in NBA 2k, while Amish made sure to get revenge on Madden. He and Ainsley loved binge watching all the teen girl dramas they could find. He loved cheering Clayton on at his varsity cross country and track meets this year and was always in the front row at his basketball games. He was the ultimate dance dad. If he couldn’t attend Ainsley’s competitions in person, he was watching on livestreams, even if it was from the top of a mountain. He did anything his kids needed and always did it with a smile on his face. Quite simply, he lived for his children.
A 15 plus year employee of Regions Bank, Amish was deeply committed to his career and Regions family. He was a mentor and friend to everyone, and to all his clients, he was more than just words. As a senior vice president, he was the resource that everyone sought out. A multi-year chairman’s club recipient, he led and participated in many projects that changed how banking happened. He would do anything he could to help others.
Amish loved adventure and travel. Amish, Megan and the kids would often be found setting off on different adventures throughout the years. Some of their favorite destinations included the British Virgin Islands for sailing adventures and Big Sky, MT to shred the slopes. The Monte family were often along on these adventures with them. The two families are the best of friends and loved traveling together. The memories they have from these vacations will be cherished for a lifetime.
In addition to his loving family, Amish is survived by an extensive network of close and beloved friends of friends. He was the type of friend all were lucky to have. He dropped everything to lend a helping hand, whether it be to wire a TV or to fix Wi-Fi. He jokingly referred to himself as tech support and was generally the first phone call made when things stopped working. Overall, Amish just loved being with his friends and cherished all time spent with his people. He would have said that the best way to honor his memory is to keep living and keep having fun. He truly was the best of us, and there will never be a time when his loss won’t be deeply felt by all those who loved him.
A memorial mass will be held in his honor on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 11:00 am, St. Jude Catholic Church 204 US-1, Tequesta. A time to gather and visit with the family will be held before the mass from 9:45 am to 11:00 am.
Memorial contributions can be made in Amish’s name to Cardinal Newman High School or Rosarian Academy.
The family wishes to express their deep love and gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Jupiter Medical Center ICU, who cared for Amish and his family as if they were their own.
