

Beatrice Joyce Armus, “Mother Bea”, 88 passed away on February 6, 2018 at her residence in Jupiter, FL. She was born on September 24, 1929 in Bronx, NY; the daughter of the late Herbert and Rose Manís.
Beatrice attended Columbus High School then continued her education, learning Secretarial skills.
She married Stanley Armus on November 4, 1950 and they were married for 55 years until his passing. She worked as a Sporting Goods Sales Representative for the Stan Armus Company, Inc. for over 40 years. Beatrice was passionate about organizations including the American Indians, the Wildlife Foundation, World Hunger, Cystic Fibrosis, and the Lymphoma/Leukemia Society.
She is survived by four children, Patricia Blanco, Karen Colwell, Budd Armus, and Clifford Armus; five grandchildren, Gene Colwell, Kimberly Colwell-Cruz, Michelle Barge, Lauren Armus, and Michael Brown; a sister, Mildred Kaye; three great grandchildren, Journey Colwell, Merritt Colwell, and Briana Barge; five nieces and nephews, Erik Kaye, Michael Kaye, Leslie Kellogg, Heather Rizzo, and Sally Shutts.
In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by a son, Phillip Armus.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Riverside Memorial Park, 19351 SE County Line Rd, Tequesta, FL 33469. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the International Myeloma Foundation, 12650 Riverside Dr # 206, North Hollywood, CA 91607 or to the National Osteoporosis Society, 251 18th Street S, Suite 630, Arlington, VA, 22202 or the Acetaminophen Awareness Coalition (online only).
