

Carmen LeFiles born Carmen Mercedes Vega Verea on May 26th, 1939 in San Juan, Puerto Rico passed away peacefully in her home in Jupiter, Florida on October 16th, 2022. She grew up in New York City where she met and married Rogelio Alvarez before eventually settling down in Florida. She graduated from St. Brigid's High School in Manhattan. She was an administrative assistant having worked many years at Florida Power & Light where she met her second husband Robert LeFiles. She later retired from Jupiter Medical Center. She leaves behind daughters and sons-in-law: Lisa & Tony Villate, Diana & Freddy Bradley, Patricia & Travis Barlitt, grandchildren: Anthony Villate; Stephanie Hoher (m Todd Hoher), Alex Bradley, Sophia Barlitt, Olivia Barlitt, great-grandchildren: Ava & Anthony Hoher, nephews: John Vega, Don Deptula, niece Kristina Binetti and extended family. She was precedeed in death by her parents Bernabe' Arturo Vega and Mercedes Verea, brother Luis Vega, sister Maria Deptula and grandson Robert Bradley. She was a very kind, loving, proud and independent woman who put her family above all else. She will be laid to eternal rest at Riverside Memorial Park in Tequesta, Florida. Dear Lord, receive her now into the light of your presence. Amen!
