Buddy and I were friends in Junior high and high school. Miami Palmetto High. We were young lads pre-teen thru teenage years and high school. I will always have fond memories of Buddy. His dad was a pilot for Braniff and Buddy, I heard became a pilot. It's always hard when an old childhood friend passes. I will miss you Buddy.

Charlie and I started at Air Florida at the same time as Flight Engineers on the Lockheed Electra, We had a contract down in Trinidad flying to Tobago and back, about a 20 min. flight, we did this about 10 times per day with 2 crews, after each leg Charlie would get back on the airplane and ask for a Coke, about 10 per day, the flight attendents (local girls) called him "Charlie Coke". Bob Bennett could tell you  about the results of Charlie pointing at a shooting star. He was a fun guy and will be greatly missed.  Bob Hogan

Charlie may you RIP.  You were one of my favorite to work with in Flight Operations in Miami.  Always smiling and had a positive attitude even when we were going thru some tough times at United.

It's sad to hear about Charlie. He was a good friend and we spent many a time up in the mountains of Colorado eating steak and drinking beer. I will miss him and all those knew him will also miss him.

I am so sorry to learn of Charlie's passing.  I have known him since High School at Palmetto in Miami.  We flew together at Air Florida and then again at Braniff.  He was a person who would light up a room when he came in, full of Life and always a story to tell.       Bob Bennett  (Felton, DE)

wIt is with great sadness of learning of Charley's premature trip west. I had the pleasure of working with Charley at National and Pan Am. It was always a treat to fly with him, a true Professional, and a lot of fun!

Charlie was quite the MAN!  We didn't meet at Pan Am, but after the "Fall" a lot of us were able to make it to United.  Charlie was one of them.  Remembered most for his guts to stand up for what and for who he believed in.  I can remember Charlie coming up to Kent's house in the mountains and along with Jerry, we would eat and drink for hours.  
Charlie was a friend's friend.  He would do anything for you, but don't cross him up.  He added life to everyone he touched.  
God placed him in our lives to make us better.  Lost touch with him after United, but he will always have a place in our hearts!
May the peace of God be with him and all he loved.

My dear friend Buddy - We had a lifetime of friendship.  He took me around the world with his stories.  I dined at the finest restaurants through him.  I learned how to cook - he was very particular - and a great chef.  When he laughed you couldn't help but laugh.  We could talk about anything and everything.  He was one of those rare people you could call a best friend.  Knowing Buddy for the past 50 years helped me to be a better person.  I will miss him and all those hours of conversing with him on the phone.  Be at peace now, my friend, forever.

I had the pleasure of flying with Charlie often at National Airlines and Pan Am.  He was a thoroughly skilled pilot and always fun and enjoyable to be with. He loved his family and spoke of them often.  He will be sorely missed.
