Edward "Russ" Elgin Jr.

Edward Russell (Russ) Elgin, Jr. 53 years old of Jupiter, FL died suddenly on Monday, August 10, 2015 in a airplane accident in Marathon, FL. He was born April 16, 1962 in Harrisburg, PA. Russ was a man who put his family first, loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest. He was an avid Scuba diver, pilot, and participated in many other exciting activities. Russ was employed by the Riviera Beach Fire Dept., and recently retired as a Division Chief after 33 years of service. He was a Guardian ad Litem, attended Christ Fellowship Church and was active in Garden Masonic Lodge No. 366. Russ is predeceased by his mother Joanne B. Elgin.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Amanda and Alina Elgin, father, Edward R. Elgin, Sr., and brother, John W Elgin. He leaves behind his former wife, Beverly and a host of friends who had known him in a variety of ways and will miss him.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Christ Fellowship South Campus Gardens with inurnment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park, Tequesta. In Lieu of flowers, contributions maybe made to the Children's Hospital Transportation Fund at Amara Shriners, 3650 RCA Blvd., Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410 or St. Jude Hospital. Arrangements in care of Aycock-Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center.
