

Frank attended Wilber Wright High School, where he was a 6x Letterman in Baseball (Captain)
Basketball and Football (Captain). He then went on to attend the Madonna University, earning his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. Frank served his country in the United States Army. He married Lora Freeburn and together they shared 41 years of marriage.
He was employed as a Detroit Police Officer- Sargent for 32 years. He was a member of the Detroit Police Athletic League PAL, National PAL president 1984-1985, Ford - Safety and Security Director, Jefferson Plant 8yrs, Cincinnati Reds, major-league baseball scout Mid-west region, Florida Marlins major league, baseball scout, SE Florida region, Blue Lodge Mason, 32nd degree Shriner, Moose Lodge member, Palm Beach Gardens chapter and multiple enthusiastic and passionate community involvements including Property Mgt. and caretaking. Frank loved his proud history and heritage of Port Glasgow, Scotland.
Descendent of the Johnstone Clan, he is survived by a sister, Janet Balough; a brother, James Freeburn; a daughter, Janice Freeburn Lint; a son, Frank J. Freeburn; grandchildren, Danial McCarthy, Ashley Bishop, Frank W. Freeburn and Madison Freeburn; great grandchildren, Dorthie McCarthy, Ali McCarthy, Maggie McCarthy, Samuel McCarthy, Dorian Bishop and Mearabelle Bishop.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Aycock-Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, FL 33458. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park in Tequesta.
