Ina Faye Wood

Faye Wood, 85, passed away March 18, 2017 in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Faye was a long-time resident of Jupiter, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Les Wood. Faye is survived by a brother, John Gaffney, Jr. and wife Barbara of Anthony, KS, two sons, Kent McCord and wife, Terri of Shawnee, KS, Chris McCord and wife Gina of Kansas City, KS, and four step-children, Sheri Gallagher, Drew Wood, Tammy Wood and Lance Wood, all of Shawnee, KS. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, a nephew and niece. Faye was born February 11, 1932 in Kansas City, KS to John M Gaffney and Mary Gaffney. Faye was a long time Real Estate Appraiser and Realtor. After moving to Jupiter, Faye was active in the Children’s Home Society of Florida and the PEO. She was a longtime member of the Jupiter Beach Club. A special thank you is given by the family to her care-givers Allison Ellis and Nelora Wright of Senior Bridge and the entire staff of La Posada of Palm Beach Gardens for their love and care over Faye’s last year. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 22nd at 10 am, Aycock Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter.
