Mr. Becky is such a kind and loving soul. He was always encouraging me to do my best. We talked about sports most of the time, and boy oh boy he loves watching tennis. I used to joke with him about not knowing how to play tennis but he knows every rules and details of the game. He would just smile then respond with, "a true man". 

A good heart has stopped beating, a good soul ascended to heaven.May our Lord bless and comfort the family during this time of grief. Please accept my sincere condolences. RIP Becky!

My condolences to the family of Mr. Ivor Beckford. I knew Fond memories of him was when my late husband and I visited him a couple years back  and prayed with him  and his subsequent recovery. Mr. Beckford is remembered as a kind and jovial person. May your soul rest in peace.
Uritt Christie and family

Uncle Becky is what I called you. When I came into your life, I was almost eight. I was happy to be a part of your family. If it wasn't for you, I would be put in foster care. My life wouldn't be the same. I remember as a little girl riding my bike to school on a rainy day. You would say "Ms. Pet, let me take you" and put the bike in the back of your pick up truck along with the neighbor's kid's bike.  Sometimes you would have to make more than one trip, but you made sure all of us reached school on time. You were such a loving and caring father to me even though I wasn't your own. You will be missed by many. Rest in peace, Dad.

My beloved father,  Ivor Beckford-  I am going to miss you but I know you are in the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ. Your love for your children is never ending.  I remember when we were living in Wakefield all the children  were playing baseball and you just jumped right in and started playing with us. I also remember you giving me rides on your Honda 50 bike.  You always want your children to do their best especially in school.  When Everton and I came to America , you were up early in the morning to take us to school in West Palm Beach, which is 50 miles one way.  There was nothing too good to give your children. 

Beckie, I can't believe you're gone. As I looked into your eyes in this picture, I see the man I fell in love with and married. You were a trooper. Thank you for helping me raise petisha even though she wasn't our blood. You were always there for her as if she was your own. Even though the troubles of life tore us apart, I am glad to have been at your side when you accepted the lord Jesus Christ as your personal savior. Lead by the late pastor Owen Cristie. You were an awesome and amazing person who loved your family. One thing I know for sure is that you loved all your children and want to see each one of them succeed in life as they care for and love one another. It was always a pleasure to visit you. You always gave us lots of old jokes. You have gone to a better place, where there will be no more pain, no more sorrow. Rest in peace, my love.

This feeling of never seeing Dad again is like a wrench in my heart, but I know that he is watching over me in a better place. I am happy that  he accepted the lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior by the late pastor Owen G. Christie of Good News Family of God Ministries.

Many memories come to me when I think of Dad. One moment in particular that stood out was how he wanted to see me graduate high school. Although he didn’t get to see me walk across the stage in person, I showed up in a cap and gown and showed him a recording of the event.

Another time I remember is the last time I visited him. It was back in April. I’m not really good at conversing so he would always lead the conversation by asking about my mother and if we still live in the same house. It really goes to show where his mind was always at. The first thing he wants to know is whether his family is healthy and doing well. “Take good care of your mother” is what he would always tell me. I intend to do as he told me.


Rest in paradise, Father. I’m working hard every day to be a man you could be proud of.



Hey everyone hope all is well dispite the situation,my dear uncle,well my memory of you were some happy ones ,first I remember you coming in the lane with you little bike after a hard day with the left overs of the fudge , icicle,and other ice cream novelties, and of course we all came running for some thing of our choice ,I also remember you coming home from farm work after couple months and you giving us somethings that you brought back for us ,also when your house was being built and all the cooking that use to take place there ,
Because you were away most of the time your time with us was short but memorable ,well uncle ivor you are no longer with us but your kind memories  stays forever in our hearts SIP in gods arms


Mass Ivor 

We’ll always remember
that special smile,
that caring heart,
I remembered one Sunday we all lined up dancing. I fell hit my head and passed out.  There was no means of public transport in our then little remote country area on a Sunday  and Mass Ivor pick me up on his neck and walked with me three and a half miles to and from the hospital. 

He might  not have said those word everyone would like to hear but I know he loved and cared for us children. 

May his soul rest in peace.

Uncle Ivor was a loving, jovial, gentle and kind uncle. I remember the days when Mama was alive and all three houses were bustling with activity: Mama at top yaad, Uncle Ivor and Miss Manda beside us, Sister Isie.  He was  away a lot on farm work but as children he always cared for us and brought us goodies. I attach a pic of us on my visit to Belleglade several years ago.
