

81, of Jupiter passed away on August 16, 2014. He was born in New Haven, CT on November 27, 1932. John graduated from Hillhouse High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from New Haven College. He was married to Elizabeth Blanchard (Burns) on April 11, 1955. He proudly served in the US Army.
Jack worked in Design Engineering for 43 years at Pratt Whitney & Olin & as a Chief Design Engineer at Sikorsky. He was president of the Civitan, and treasurer of Fresh Air Fanfare in New Haven, CT and world champion CT Hurricanes Drum Corps in 1967. He had a passion for his family and was an avid New York Yankees fan. He was very active in coaching children in baseball.
Survived by his wife Elizabeth; children John Blanchard (Patti), Elizabeth “Lisa” Tyler (David), Suzanne Kreober (Gary), Kyle Blanchard (Lori), Sarabeth Hanson (John), Joshua Blanchard (Michelle); Grandchildren Michael, John, Colleen, JD, Ben, Mckala, John, Brandon, Kylee, Julia, and John (Jake); Brother Alexander (Butch) Blanchard (Sandy), Brother William Blanchard (Judith); 7 Great Grandchildren Megan, Michael, Sarah, Gabriella, Matthew, Alexander and Doc.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 19th from 12pm-2PM at Aycock-Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 3PM, St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 9999 N Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Palm Beach County.
