

Maria and her husband William were married in Italy in 1955 and immigrated to the United States in 1956 to begin a new chapter together. They came to this country with little more than hope and determination. Together, they worked tirelessly and lived with quiet sacrifice, always putting their children first. Through hard work, discipline, and unwavering love, they saved and built a life that would open doors for future generations. Their journey changed the trajectory of their family, embodying the very essence of the American dream.
Maria worked as a tailor for Sears Roebuck for decades, where she was known for her impeccable craftsmanship, meticulous attention to detail, and the admiration of her coworkers and customers alike. Above all, Maria was devoted to her family. She found great joy in cooking for her loved ones, preparing every meal with fresh ingredients and the traditions of her Italian heritage. Her kitchen was a place of warmth, love, and unforgettable flavors.
Maria was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, William DiMonte, and their son, Joseph DiMonte.
She is survived by her son, Mario DiMonte and daughter-in-law, Lisa DiMonte. She also leaves behind a legacy of love in her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Maria will be laid to rest beside her husband at the South Florida National Cemetery.
