So happy Michele and I were able to reconnect these last few years, yet sad we never got the chance to be close. Michele saw the good in everything and was just happy to be included-a rare gift from which so many of us could benefit. Rest easy sweet friend. You were cherished by so many.

You were the first born in our family, which always made you special. For all the physical problems you experienced throughout your short life, you managed to endure with grace and dignity. I have no doubt that Dad and all 4 of your grandparents were waiting with open arms. I love you Michele💔

"And if I go, while you're still here… Know that I live on, Vibrating to a different measure Behind a thin veil you cannot see through. You will not see me, So you must have faith. I wait for the time when we can soar together again, Both aware of each other. Until then, live your life to the fullest And when you need me, Just whisper my name in your heart, …I will be there.""

- Emily Dickinson

I will be there to walk thru this time with My Lombardo Family.

Michelle was such a sweet soul! Even though we didn't know each other very well, she always kept in touch on Facebook. One of my fondest memories was when we fought over the bouquet at Chris & Teri's wedding back in 2012! I believe we both ended up with part of it and had a good laugh! I know family was very important to her, especially her niece and nephews. She will be missed!

The Lombardo family was like a second family to me. Our families met at church and all of us kids went to Sunday school together while the parents attended mass. Michelle and I were the oldest of the kids. She was always left in charge when Carol and Bob went to work at the restaurant, or one of Bob's gigs. Summertime is when we spent many hours together which made us even closer.. So many times one of the younger ones would do something outrageous thinking they were getting away with something and Michelle would side eye them to let them know she was on to them. Or they'd test her to see how far they could push, and she always reigned them in gently, lovingly but FIRMLY. Then she'd have this knowing smile and tell me that she loved them. I remember her taking care of baby Christopher like a Mother hen. I remember working at their Century Village restaurant as a teenager and Michelle and I would sneak ice cream when her parents and Willie the chef weren't looking. She had Willie wrapped around her finger. Anything she wanted, he'd make for her. Michelle had a gentle calming spirit about her. Sweet, caring, loving, selfless. I'm devastated to hear of my childhood friend passing. It doesn't seem real. She was so full of life. Carol, Jeanine, Robert, Christopher, I'm sending my love and prayers for comfort and peace. May the happy memories of your beautiful daughter/sister, bring you warmth in the days ahead. 🙏🦋❤️🌺
