Perry has joined that family reunion in the sweet by and by. How they are singing and having a great picnic! Dad is leading the chorus and Barbara is on the piano. I'll be seeing you, sweet Perry. Save a seat for me at the kitty section.

When I remember my cousin Perry, my memories go back to our childhood and family gatherings.  There are fun memories from the mountains of W. Va to the shores of the Carolinas. I think we shared a love for the ocean.   Ahhh, she got southern Florida.

I am truly excited that she traveled that journey in life that led her to ETERNAL LIFE with our Heavenly Father!  Truly, she has had her graduation!  Praise God for His gift to us:  Eternal life with Him!  It is my prayer for the readers of her guest book here, that if you haven't started on the journey that Perry chose, that you will make the right turn in life.  Life is eternal, and I will see Perry again.

Your earthly family misses you, Perry!  I love you.

We were lucky enough to have been guided throughout our careers by Perry's teachings & mentorship.  Perry assisted me with my advancement through the bank in my 7+ years and for that I am grateful. Although some of us only met Perry once, we all sensed what a great person she was and how much you appreciated and loved her. Reading the other postings verifies how great your loss is and nothing we can say here will ease the pain. Please know your Brothers are thinking of you and hope in time you will be able to join us again at other reunions.

Perry was the little sister I should have had, she was the sister of my heart.
We worked together for many many years, and she made me not only a better person, but a better banker.
I will never forget how much she loved Ariel, and how proud she was to be his wife. Their love for each other was amazing, and grew even stronger during her illness. 
Perry showed me a strength I never knew existed as she fought this awful disease. She always said she was going to beat it and spend the rest of her time cruising the world with Ariel.  
Perry - I know you are in heaven with your kitties and parents. Rest well dear sister, until we meet again.

I worked with Perry closely during her last role with Wachovia. I have truly missed working with her daily and will miss knowing such a beautiful soul.

Know that Perry has left an indelible mark on the lives of all she met at work especially new employees joining the organization. She handled herself with much grace, character, positivity and ethics consistently. She was truly a role model for all employees joining the organization. She has been loved by all and will continue to be loved by all. 

Perry's battle with Cancer was not in vain. When she discovered she had cancer she was able to put aside her concerns and shared her concern about a new employee who's cancer seemed to be returning after being in remission. Perry was able to inspire her to focus on her health and getting better.

 Today Jo Jo is thankful for her many conversations with Perry about the importance of paying attention to the cancer warning signs. Jo Jo looked forward to her and Perry discussing how they had beat cancer.

On a personal note, I had the wonderful pleasure of sharing my faith in God and his love with Perry during her battle with cancer. It was comforting to know that we shared  such common thread. I will miss our occasional conversations.May she rest in peace. Ariel, may you find strength in the memories she has left behind. I will continue to keep you and her family in my prayers as you start this new journey without Perry at your side.

I hadn't known her for very long. I would email Perry as often as I could. I'm so happy with myself that in the last email I sent her, I told her I loved her. I thought of her of more than a cousin. She fought long and hard and now the battle is over, she doesn't have to suffer anymore. My deepest condolences.

Michelle, you said it just right:  she is eternally happy and the suffering is over.  She fought so long and hard, and she is now completely healed. 

Ariel, here is a clip from one of my emails from her, dated last Sept 18:  "Today is actually Ariel's birthday. He is the bestest of men, and I thank God for him everyday."  I know you miss her terribly, and I'm praying for God to heal your hurts.  

Even when she was faced with terrible news about her own health, she continued to ask about my friend Penney from Canada, whom she prayed for but has never met.  

Another quote from Perry, from last July: "I know God does not like for me to suffer, that I need to trust in Him and His plan."

I think that we will all miss Perry dearly.  She was a wonderful person who gave her all to enrich the lives of those she touched.  I had the pleasure of working with her for over 5 years.  She took the time to help develop my skills in different roles while at Wachovia Bank.  I will never forget the days of her arriving at the office with her large cup of Diet Coke from McDonald's, that was her staple drink, and pushing me to be the best at what I did. Perry touched my life and I will always remember her!  

To her family, I am deeply sorry for your loss.  My brief time spent with her taught me that she was compassionate and caring, along with being a great fighter when needed. She will be greatly missed!

I read this recently and think that it says what I want to express much better than I can...."There is a human bond that connects us all.  It may be like a delicate thread, but in special times is becomes like a line of steel that helps to bind us, one to another.  This strand makes our sorrows more bearable, and in the long run that is what really matters. It was always special to spend time with my cousin Perry. Her mom and my mom were 2 of the 4 Blankenship sisters.  Perry and I were 2 of the 12 grandchildren.  Perry was beautiful.  She was smart. My sister, Perry, was awesome. She had a great sense of humor and was quick with a come-back. If I have learned anything at all in my time with her it is that people are to be respected and honored. She was not only nice, she was kind. There is a difference. 

I know she is eternally happy and the suffering is over. She was met with great rewards by our Father in Heaven. I rejoice knowing her kitties are in her lap as I write this. 

I love you, Perry. You are the BEST.

Perry Viera was an amazing person. I remember when I had the honor to work with her, I learned so much from her. She was patient, knowledgeable and most of all she was an admirable person. She really made you feel so special, and anyone who had the opportunity to meet her will all comment on how wonderful she was. She cared about everyone around her... she was so unique.  
We shared a deep love for cats. She and I will always take time to talk about our feline kids.  I will miss Perry, and my condolences are with her family and close friends.
