

Richard “Rick” Timothy Tipton, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, 69, passed away peacefully at his home on September 2, 2025. Rick was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on September 20, 1955, to Billy L. and Rowena F. Fritzler Tipton.
Rick attended Sooner Rose Elementary School in Midwest City, Oklahoma, Carl Albert Junior High, Midwest City, OK, and graduated from Carl Albert High School, Midwest City, OK, in 1973. He was active in the Future Farmers of America and the Titan baseball team. He continued on to receive a Bachelor of Science and Agricultural degree from Oklahoma State University in 1979, and later received a Master of Environmental Science degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1989.
After college, Rick worked as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) for Boeing, MEMC Electronic Materials, and Novus. He then started his own business, Safe Day Consulting, LLC.
Rick was married to the love of his life, Karen Elizabeth Tipton for 29 years. Rick enjoyed traveling, sports, hunting, fishing, golf, and woodworking.
Rick is survived by his wife, Karen Tipton, of the home; son, Ian Braun and his wife Kerianne; two granddaughters, Kaye and Clara; two sisters, Tami Titus of Chicago, IL and Patti Herren and her husband Mike of Midwest City, OK; two sister-in-laws, Lois Callaghan of Chesterfield, MO and D. Jeanne Rathke and her husband Glenn of Port St Lucie, FL, a niece, Kristen Crawford of Kirkwood, MO; five nephews, Ryan Hauk and his wife Ashley of McKinney, TX, Josh Herren and his wife Megan of Meeker, OK; Kaleb Herren and his wife Kylie of Midland, TX, Daniel Herren and his wife Allison of Choctaw, OK, and Jared Titus of Chicago, IL; as well as four great nephews and four great nieces.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Billy L. Tipton and Rowena Tipton, as well as his grandparents.
