Risto was born in Lahti, Finland on July 28, 1946 to the late Eino and Martta Kesonen. His family immigrated to Canada in 1952 and later moved to Toronto, Ontario, where he met his wife, Rene. He was a self-employed Venture Capitalist for 40 years. He loved extreme sports, skiing, tennis, travel and reading. He was very energetic and loved life; he could usually be found at the gym or walking on Juno Beach.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years; Rene Kesonen, daughters; Lauren and Kristen and granddaughter; Angelina and many friends and family, including brother; Arto and sisters; Else and Marja.
Memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Grace Immanuel Bible Church, 17475 Jonathan Drive, Jupiter, Florida 33477
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society, lls.org or American Cancer Society, cancer.org.
