Mrs. Shirley, a homemaker, was born on January 25, 1916 in Hartford, Connecticut to the late Theodore Harold Marsh and Lillian Bartlett. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Harold Petersen. She was a member of the Good Shepard Episcopal Church in Tequesta, Florida.
Survivors include her son Robert (Dana) Petersen, North Carolina, daughter Lynn Petersen, Jupiter, Florida also three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
