Tim was born on May 21, 1956, in Levittown, New York, to his parents Mary Ellen and Ed Delaney, and was raised in New York, where he developed the strong values and work ethic that defined his life. In 1988, he moved to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, where he built a home, raised his family, and remained until his passing.
Tim was the devoted husband of Emily Delaney, his wife of more than 40 years. Together they built a life rooted in love, partnership, and family. He was a proud and dedicated father to Thomas (Laura), Michelle, and Brian (Katrina), and found his greatest joy in being present for his children, whether coaching their sports teams, taking family vacations, or simply being there when they needed him.
Tim was also a successful and respected entrepreneur, operating a lunch truck and catering business for decades. Through hard work and dedication, he built a business that reflected his reliability, honesty, and commitment to serving others.
Known as a great husband and father, Tim lived with quiet strength and unwavering integrity. He was generous with his time, kind in spirit, and always willing to help others. His character was defined not by words, but by consistent action and genuine care for those around him.
He approached life with an indomitable spirit and a steadfast belief that anything worth doing could be done. He carried a true can-do attitude, never entertaining doubt or fear of failure, and moved forward with the quiet confidence that success would follow. Once Tim was committed to something, there was never a thought of not succeeding -- only the determination to see it through.
Tim was predeceased by his parents, Ed and Mary Delaney, and his brother, Brian Delaney. He is survived by his beloved wife, Emily Delaney; his children, Thomas (Laura), Michelle, and Brian (Katrina); and his cherished granddaughters, Harper and Beaux. He is also survived by his sisters, Colleen Moir and Jacqueline Reeves (Jason), as well as many loving nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.
Above all, Tim will be remembered for the love he gave freely, the values he lived by, and the example he set for his family. His presence will be deeply missed, but his impact will live on through all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Aycock-Riverside Funeral Home, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, FL 33458. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 am.
