In his early career, he worked as a graphic artist before dedicating himself to a second calling as a Long-Term Care Ombudsman for Maui County. He was deeply committed to serving his community and volunteered with Meals on Wheels for over a decade. A lifelong music lover, he found great joy in sharing his passion as the host of his radio show, “Brent’s Garage” on Mana'o Radio.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Leval; son, Dustin Freemont; daughter, Chelsea Freemont-Cruz (Wilfredo Cruz Jr.), beloved granddaughter, Olivia; and sister Laurie Schon; along with many dear friends and extended family.
A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mana'o Radio in his memory.
