Douglas "Doug" Maiha'a Sado, 80, of Wailuku, Maui, passed away on March 28, 2012, at his home. He was born on October 8, 1931, in Honolulu, Hawaii. Doug was a retired mechanic, heavy equipment operator, member of Operating Engineers Local 3, and owner of Doug's Trucking. He is survived by his wife, Comfort Moana Sado; sons, Hiram "Makana" (Lynn) Sado, Jonathan "Malama" (Stacie) Sado; daughter, Doreen Sado; brothers, Clayton Sado, Joseph Sado; sisters, Lorraine Adolpho, Louisa "Nani" Sabal, Francesca Tokunaga; 6 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Visitation will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2012, at Ballard Family Mortuary.
Services: Service will start at 6:30 p.m.
Interment: Private burial will be held. The family requests no flowers.
