July 29, 1947 January 23, 2016
Ed ‘Eddie’ Robinson, 68, of Lahaina and Waiehu, Maui passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 23, 2016, after a valiant battle with cancer. He leaves his son, Matthew Betts Kaoao Robinson. Born in Batavia, New York and raised in nearby Byron, he left his rural roots in the early 1970’s and moved to Washington, D.C., beginning a lifetime career in Food and Beverage management. After more than 30 years he left for Maui to be closer to family and friends. For the last 10 years he was honored and proud to work and live at the historic Pioneer Inn in Lahaina, Maui. He was an avid golfer, he loved the horses, and he enjoyed traveling. But Ed’s greatest joy was his son Matt, his many friends, family, and doing the work he truly loved.
A memorial celebration will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Courtyard at the Pioneer Inn.
Norman’s Mortuary, Wailuku, handled the arrangements. No flowers please.
