Eugene Allen Argel

Born in Tacoma WA, Gene made his way to Maui in the early 80’s.

Predeceased by his parents Julian and Alyce Argel, siblings Julia Ball and Julian Argel. Survived by his wife Luana, children Lisette(Wes)Wheeler, Jeannine James, Gene James, and Shea Makana(Melia Kahahane) Argel, his grandchildren Daisy, Blue, Julian, Isabela, Ka’iana, and Cody and siblings Gregory Argel and Martha Laronal. A loving husband, a proud and happy father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to all who knew him.

Gene started playing the piano at the age of 6 learning Classical piano. He developed a yearning for Jazz and loved the Blues. He traveled the world performing on piano and his favorite Hammond B3 organ. His fellow musicians added their incredible talent, awesome expertise and love and let Gene shine! He was a musical inspiration, a great teacher, a talented and respected musician. Memories shared that will never be forgotten here and beyond.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
