Fernando Ribao, Jr., 83, of Pukalani, died on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 in his residence in Pukalani under the care of Hospice Maui. Mr. Ribao Jr. was born on December 8, 1926 in Hana, Maui. He was a retired shift supervisor with the Maui Electric Company, Ltd., Kahului power plant with 25 years of service. He also was a plumbing contractor for over 20 years. He loved playing the saxophone and was a former member of the Molina's Orchestra and The Maui Dance Band. He is survived by his wife, Rose Ribao; two sons, Kenneth (Sue) Ribao and Michael (LaVerne) Ribao Sr.; three daughters, Charmaine (John) Molina, Joanne (Sam) Quintos, Linda (Kenneth "Blanc") Tavares; two brothers, Manuel and Francis Ribao (deceased); one sister, Theresa Maddela (deceased); one brother in law, James Maddela; two sisters in law, Grace Ribao and Beatrice Ribao; thirteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Visitation will be begin 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church
Services: Mass at 11:30 a.m.
Interment: Burial will follow 12:30 p.m. at the Makawao Cemetery.
