Aiau was a Harbor En-forcement Officer II, assigned DOT Harbor Police Unit, Maui District.
He was also a musician.
He is survived by his children, Olecis (Sami Valle) Koa, Oralani Koa; hanai son, Lanakila (Brandi) Kaoni; mother of his children, Lilyana Koa; grandchildren, Nonohe, Haliko, Kawaiho’ola, and Kilinahe Koa; siblings, Kailani Koa, Francis L. (Renette) Koa Jr., Herman (Ann) Koa, Molly Keolaokalani (Fredrick “Rico”) Koa-Ponce, Bertha Leilani (Lama) Koa-Siufanua, Kawaika (Charito) Koa; and Companion, Tracy Damas.
Aiau is predeceased by his parents, Francis Lono and Bertha Leilani Koa; and his parents in-law, Christopher “Ole” Olsen, and Ora Patricia Latham.
Visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Ballard Family Mortuary; service will begin at 12:45 p.m., cremation will follow.
Due to Covid-19, face masks and social distancing are required. Temperature checks will be done upon entry to the funeral home.
