Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Ballard Family Mortuary; service will start at 11:00 a.m.; burial will follow, 12:30 p.m., at Maui Memorial Park Cemetery in Wailuku.
Jonah retired as a Construction Superintendent at Goodfellow Brothers. He is predeceased by his daughter, Joanne Poaipuni; and son, Sheldon Poaipuni; survived by his wife, Eleanor Poaipuni; daughters, Loriann (Conrad Cordeiro) Poaipuni, Leeann (Derlyn Pasco) Poaipuni; sister, Geraldine “Kuulei” Kalawaia; brothers, Allen Poaipuni, Russell Poaipuni, Roland “Choge” Poaipuni; and grandchildren, Gaison, Kylee, Kalia, Kapili, and Kaimipono.
