Kaliko John Dane Sanchez, was born on August 12, 1984 in Wailuku, Maui and died on February 21, 2017. He is survived by daughter; Krystian Kamalei Navarro-Sanchez, son; Khoen Keaolewa Sanchez, mom and dad; Rob & Ivy Jean Sanchez; sister; Tiare Kapika Sanchez; and niece, Lilia-Ann Sanchez. He also leaves his grandparents Tony and Barbara Bagio, and numerous aunties, uncles & cousins.
Kaliko was an original of the Inaugural Class of Punana Leo O Maui in Wailuku. He attended Waihe’e School, Iao Intermediate, Saint Anthony and Baldwin High School. He graduated in 2012 from the University of Hawaii Maui’s Culinary Program.
Kaliko enjoyed his trips to Hana and the time he spent there with his Ohana was very special. He also enjoyed being at the beach boogie boarding and hanging out with friends. Kaliko will truly be missed by his kind and gentle soul!

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at St. Anthony Church, Wailuku, service will begin at 11:00 a.m. A private burial will be held at a later date.
