Lance Kang!! I don’t even know where to start but When we first met I never thought that u would end up being one of my best friends!  We never knew each other from childhood nor did we grow up together, but it felt that way with all the things we been through.  
I don’t really know what to say and it’s hard to write my feelings down…but it’s so easy to relive the past in my head.  All these memories that I replay in my head every day from all the late night card games,  foot ball games and tail gates , holidays , birthdays, vacations or even just going out and driving around and hanging out in the garage to smoke cigarettes and all the other in between’s. 
When u moved to Maui yes I was very sad, but also very happy for you to be with Charicel cause that made you happy!  From you and Charicel came your baby girl Naechelyn!  We will always be here for them! They are part of our family too. With you moving away actually made us even closer..getting your  “have a good weekend sis love and miss you guys”  txts every single weekend. Getting birthday txt from you,  and talking to you just to talk about life and our families and  how our days are going and me always asking you when you coming back again.  
You kept us together , whenever you came to visit that would be some of the few times we would all get together to go out and eat, and to play cards. We would spend the whole weekend doing things together cause you guys were visiting. You Lance Kang  you were the glue and we always picked up from where we left off. 
You don’t need to know someone all their life to become best friends with that person, sometimes it just takes a shot, or a card game or even a meal together  to know that God has brought a very special person into your life 
the night you passed was so unexpected it was  hard to believe and it was hard to accept.  Losing someone close to your heart is one of the hardest things to go through! Thank you God for bringing Lance into my life. Thank you Lance for being my best friend! This is not a goodbye, it’s a see u later kinda thing. Love you forever  

When we found out that you weren’t doing good I prayed for you to get better. It’s the hardest thing that finding out you weren’t going to make it and can’t believe you are gone! I didn’t expect this to happen and I am not the only one. Allen, I and the rest of our friends (family) are going to miss you so much. We will be there for Chari and Naechelyn when they need it. I am glad that we were able to go on a few friends trips together to Vegas. It doesn’t feel real that you are gone! I am glad that we meet and wouldn’t change one bit of it. Let me share a story of how Lance  introduced me to my wife and how he became my forever best man.
One night working at my car wash job I get a call from my boy Lance asking if I was doing anything after work. Not really I said. So he ask me to come with him to come check out this girl he was chatting with on AOL. He wanted to go and get  her picture and meet her in person at her house. “Whatever Mack daddy Kang!” But you gotta drive since  I just finish work. Shoots he says. So we head out to Mililani where she lived and I ask Lance, “So what this one get chance?” Braddah Lance said “Ahhh I not sure maybe!”  So we get to her house and park the car and he calls her to come out. As she comes out I look and thought wish she was really cute but never thought more than that. So Lance is talking with her and gets her picture and introduces me and after about 10 minutes we left. I later learned from my wife that she thought I was Lance sitting in the passenger seat and was disappointed I wasn’t Lance! So after that first encounter i get her AOL address from Lance, who already moved on because he didn’t feel the vibe, and me and wife get to chatting and built a friendship to a bond to being a serious couple. After me and the wife got together, Lance was  mad at me because I wasn’t available with my time with him and spending it more with her. So naturally one night, 5-6 months into the relationship,  he confronted me outside of my wife’s house and commented that all I was always with my wife and not hanging out with  him. So I snap back at him and told his was your fault for introducing us. “Just be happy for us bro. Maybe one day we get married and you can be my best man!” F THAT! Never going happen. And he left and didn’t talk to me for a week. He apologized and I apologized and left it at that. But as months turned into years and Lance started hanging out with the wife at parties, football games, dinners, functions with the friends, their bond became a brother and sister relationship that would never break. So when we decided to get married, there was no other choice who my best man was going to be. He introduced us  from the beginning of our journey  and will forever be the link as the man who made it happen. And for that I will be forever grateful for you  Lance Kang, my friend, my brother, my best man. I love you and miss you!

My Name is Jason Ancheta 
 I met Lance when we was in elementary playing football on the road with no slippers. He is 4 years older then me so we wasn’t school friends we was living next to each other type of friends, that’s the best kind. As we got older Lance was the friend with a car, a Honda with super loud sounds.I remember cruising Pearls and Alamoana in the day and Waikiki and Merchent St at night if you know you know. Lance eventually moved out from west loch with his brother James in this ghetto ass apartment and that’s actually when we got super close, we spent most days playing video games and doing other crazy stuff. He eventually moved back west loch and was my neighbor again and was perfect because UH football was on the rise and we started going to games. During the 2007 season we got season tickets and our tailgate bbq would compete with anybody out there. Lance was the glue to our tailgate group,he would come my house super early and we would make a run to the store and would make sure I load my truck so we can go early and wait in line to get a good spot. The Warriors actually went undefeated that season and got a birth to the sugar bowl in Louisiana. We didn’t want to miss the once in a lifetime opportunity to see our team in a major bowl game so we all went. Hawai’i did end up getting smashed that game and we did ride with the most crazy taxi driver in the world but that trip will always be one of my favorites and I’m so glad Lance was there because he almost never go. Lance ended up  meeting Charicel and he thought she could be the One but the hard part is she lives in Maui. He ended up moving to Maui and we had a hard time dealing with that. I actually stop talking to him for a while and one day he showed up at my house by my mail box with a big smile on his face and all I could do is give him a big huge because I missed him so much. But I did ended up realizing that why he left us he did meet the woman he was meant to be with and they ended up having a beautiful daughter name Naechelyn that I’m so proud he named me god father. Lance my best friend that I call my brother I will always miss you and think of you till me meet again. Love you 4 Life

We had lots and lots of great times together Lancey Boy! You will never ever be forgotten, you are loved by so many. I miss you so much! I love you forever Lance Kang! ❤️

The Rosario OHANA will forever remember you as our “Uncle Hot Dog”, the affectionate nickname given to you by our daughter so many years ago.

Q: Where did Lance like to travel?
            
            A: I’ll never forget our trips to Las Vegas. Even as a kid I had good time. I’m happy I got to go with you as an adult.

Lance Kang will never be forgotten. I Sheila Salomon have worked with him at the airport. Lance is a very humble man and very  kind hearted. He came to my drive by retirement party. When he use to come to Vegas for a visit Lance would always hit me up with a text to meet up and have dinner with me and my husband. I will surely miss him. Rest In Love my friend. 🙏❤️🙏
