Leonard Frank Burgess, Jr., 59, of Kealakekua, died at the Kona Community Hospital August 2, 2015. He was born February 1, 1956 in Edenton, NC. Leonard worked as a Briefer for Pleasant Holidays. He is survived by his wife, Rosie Cheek of Kealakekua; step-son, Keala (Jeanette) Navas of Waipahu; step-daughter, Kathy (Carl) Ciriako of Kailua Kona; mother, Sarah France of Riverbank, California; sisters, Caren Burgess and Kim Gibson of Riverbank California; a niece and a nephew of Riverbank Ca., an aunt, Wilma Dickard of Fayetteville, Arkansas; five step-grandchildren, numerous cousins, and numerous Hawaii relatives . Friends are welcome for fellowship at the Old A Events Pavilion, Aug 17, from 12:30 pm - 6 pm. There will be a Memorial and Celebration of Life on board the Body Glove from 2 pm - 4 pm.
