Max “Red” Eugene Johnson, 78, of Kailua Kona, Hawaii, was born in Ventura, California on March 16, 1938, and passed away on June 18, 2016. Max worked as a realtor and a real estate developer. He was the lead base singer for the Kona Festivale Chorale for many years. Singing enjoying is time with his wife and family was his passion.
He is survived by wife, Linda Johnson; son’s Steve & (Kristina) Johnson of Los Altos Hills, and his granddaughters Sophia and Ka-Lani Johnson in California; Pete & (Kelly) and granddaughter Alexis and grandson Aron Johnson of Gig Harbor, Washington; California; Jeff & (Selene) Larson (add grandkids) of Everett, Washington; daughters JoLynn & (Eric) and grandson Nick and granddaughter Jessie Barbao of Rancho Santa Marquarita, California; Jacque Larson and grandson Mike of Kirkland, Washington; Mike & (Melanie) Thomas of Redlands, California; Sharon Berteroulcci and grandson Anthony and granddaughter Annie of Redwood, City, California; sister Norma (Bill) Swanson of Yuma, Arizona; and our 13 grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 10:00 am at Mokuaikaua Church in Kailua Kona, Hawaii. Refreshments to follow.
