

Rodney James “Pancho” Teixeira, 77 of Haiku, Maui has gone Forever Fishing in Heaven on February 17, 2026, at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born on October 17, 1948, in Wailuku, Maui to Joseph and Agnes Teixeira. He was a graduate of St. Anthony School, went to MCC for a year for Carpentry before joining the Army Reserves. In 1966 he met the love of his life, Audrey. They have been inseparable for 60 years including 56 years of marriage after their wedding on June 6, 1970.
Rodney was a truck driver for 30 years, then became an Operations Manager at Honsador, Maui. He then worked for D and D Towing until he found his final job at St. Anthony’s Pre-School, Grade School, and Church where he worked doing maintenance for 19 years before retiring. After retiring he became “Uber Papa” to his grandchildren, chauffeuring them all around.
Rodney is survived by his loving wife, Audrey Teixeira; children Derick (Shirley) Teixeira, Denise (John) Salomon, and Darcie (Matthew) Bigoss; grandchildren Dustin, Jaycie, Jonah, Haley, Leland, Hilary, Peyton and Naiyah; surviving siblings Charlene (Cyrus) Boteilho and Randal (Lori) Teixeira; and hanai children Lars and Joan “Jojo” Gascon.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Ballard Family Mortuary over urn. Visitation will begin at 10:00am-11:00am; with prayer service starting at 11:00am.
